Elektrik tüketiminin derin öğrenme yöntemleriyle tahmin edilmesi

Elektrik tüketiminin derin öğrenme yöntemleriyle tahmin edilmesi, enerji sektöründe önemli dönüşüm sağlayan kritik bir teknolojik yaklaşımdır. Günümüzde enerji kaynaklarının sürdürülebilir ve etkili bir şekilde kullanılması, enerji maliyetlerinin düşürülmesi ve çevresel etkilerin minimize edilmesi, toplumlar ve şirketler için temel bir önceliktir. Derin öğrenme, elektrik tüketimi tahmininde önemli bir araçtır. Bu yaklaşım, büyük miktarda veri kullanarak gelecekteki elektrik tüketimini tahmin etme yeteneğine sahiptir. Hava koşulları, mevsimsel değişkenler, önceki tüketim verileri ve diğer faktörleri içeren çeşitli veri kaynaklarından gelen veriyi analiz ederek, derin öğrenme modelleri, elektrik tüketimi tahminlerini hassaslaştırılır. Derin öğrenme yöntemleri aynı zamanda enerji yönetimi sistemlerinin geliştirilmesine de yardımcı olabilir. Anlık elektrik tüketimi verilerini izleyerek enerji tasarrufu fırsatlarını belirleyebilir ve enerji tüketimini optimize edebilirler. Bu, enerji maliyetlerinin azaltılmasına ve enerji kaynaklarının daha verimli kullanılmasına katkı sağlar. Sonuç olarak, elektrik tüketimi tahmini için derin
öğrenme, anahtar bir teknoloji olarak öne çıkmaktadır. Enerji sektörünü dönüştürme potansiyeli taşıyan bu yaklaşım, önemli bir rol oynamaktadır. Gelecekte, elektrik tüketiminin daha iyi tahmin edilmesi, enerji verimliliğini artırmak ve sürdürülebilir enerji kullanımını teşvik etmek için hayati bir öneme sahip olacaktır.
Pasif itkisi güçlendirilmiş rıhtım duvar yapısına ait model deney için ön sayısal analizi

Dünya ticaretinin %70’ten fazlası uluslararası deniz taşımacılığı yolu ile
gerçekleşmektedir. Deniz ticareti de bu bağlamda yıllar boyunca gelişmeye devam etmiştir. Bu gelişme devam ettikçe daha derin rıhtım talepleri ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu talepler doğrultusunda rıhtım tasarımlarının kriterleri ve yönleri geliştirilmek istenilmiştir. Ancak literatürde bu özel uygulama modeli hakkında pek çok araştırma bulunmamaktadır. Bu nedenle önerilen çalışmanın kapsamında jet grouting kullanılarak pasif tarafın güçlendirilmesinin sağlanmasıdır. Bu güçlendirme yapılırken göçme ve dinamik yükleme altında performansları test edilecektir.
Pasif bölge güçlendirmesi yapılırken uzunlukları ve genişlikleri 6 farklı grout bloğu oluşturulacaktır. Bu 6 farklı model deneylerinde duvarın deformasyonları ve moment eğilme davranışları incelenecektir. Bu deneylerin sonucunda ise duvarın serbest yükseklik ve genişlik açısından uygun olan optimum boyutu belirlenecektir. Son adımda ise dinamik yükler altında pasif güçlendirme bloğunun çalışma durumu değerlendirilecektir. Bu çalışmanın beklenen sonucunda yanal denge optimizasyonu için pasif toprak takviyesi metodolojisi tanıtarak yüksek duvar derinlikleri durumunda toplam yatırım maliyetlerini azaltarak önerilen tasarımın optimize edilmesinde hem geoteknik hem de gemi mühendisleri için bir rehberlik sağlama amacındadır.
An analysis of 21st century themes in an English language teaching coursebook serıes: Macmillan Gateway

This thesis examines the extent to which 21st century themes are integrated into ELT coursebooks, focusing on the Gateway, 2nd Edition (Ed.) by Macmillan for A2 and B1 levels. The 21st century's global importance of English necessitates the development of teaching resources, particularly coursebooks, that address the technological, economic, and social challenges of the world. The study aimed to identify the presence of specific themes—global awareness, health literacy, environmental literacy, financial, economic business and entrepreneurial literacy, and civic literacy—within the Gateway to Life Skills (GLS) sections of the coursebooks and to assess their alignment with the Partnership for 21st Century Skills (P21) framework.
The findings revealed a varied representation of the themes, with health literacy being the most prevalent, followed by civic literacy, financial literacy, and global awareness, while environmental literacy appeared to a lesser extent. The analysis demonstrated a clear connection between the coursebook content and the P21 framework. The study concludes
that while the Gateway 2 nd Ed. coursebooks make significant strides in integrating 21st century themes, there remains room for enhancing their coverage and depth, particularly in global and environmental literacy.
The effects of digiıtal tools on the development of English language skills: Meta-analysis

This thesis investigates the impact of digital tools on the language skills development of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners through a comprehensive meta-analytical approach. A total of 56 papers, comprising articles and Master's theses, were scrutinized to address three key research questions. Firstly, the study identified a diverse array of digital tools employed to enhance language skills, includingmessaging apps, audio-video platforms, and EFL-focused tools. Secondly, quantitative analysis revealed a predominantly positive impact of digital tools on language skill development, with effect sizes varying across different tools. The overall effect of digital tools on each language skill wasfound to be substantial, with theta values of 1.12 for listening, 1.74 forspeaking, 0.99 for reading, and 1.03 for writing. Thirdly, age and proficiency level emerged as significant moderators, indicating that younger learners and those at lower proficiency levels derived more substantial benefits, particularly in listening and speaking skills. Notably, age and proficiency level did not significantly moderate the development of
reading and writing skills.
Gender representations in two different levels of English language teaching coursebooks: English File Elementary and Englısh File Intermediate

Gender representations in ELT coursebooks have attracted great attention in education in recent years, as the world pays more attention to equality in all fields, yet despite the increasing emphasis on gender roles, most coursebooks still have contents that reinforce traditional gender norms, and educators are using these books without realizing this danger. Examples in various studies confirm coursebooks' discriminations towards women and positive treatments towards men. It is very dangerous, especially for young people who are ready to be shaped, to hinder their gender-based potential and try to include stereotypical behaviors. The aim of this study is to investigate the genderrepresentations of two ELT books (for Beginner and Intermediate Level) that are used not
only in preparatory classes of private and public universities but also in private courses. In order for these two coursebooks to be examined, seven different categories have been put forward by the researcher: the presence of male and female figures in the photographs, the analysis of the professional situation in the book, the domestic role, the frequency of females in the video sections, free-time activities, celebrities used in images and the choice of adjectivesfor both genders. These categories are not the work of a single person, but were put forward with the contribution of previous researchers, and the diversity of
the seven categories was determined by the researcher herself.
The results have been analyzed and the findings have revealed that some progress has been made towards more widespread gender representation in recent years. It is also iobvious that the authors of these books have also paid attention to gender issues, and they are aware of gender discrimination and traditional gender stereotypes .
