Yayın Multi disciplinary approach in the treatment of patients with acute myocardial infarction(Maltepe Üniversitesi, 2018) Omerova, Arlinda; Jovanovska, TanjaIntroduction: Acute myocardial infarction is the most severe form of coronary disease and indicates acute irreversible damage to the myocardium due to: acute reduction or stopping of blood flow through a coronary artery, thereby reducing the perfusion (blood supply) of the myocardium; a sudden increase in myocardial demand for oxygen. Acute myocardial infarction is a common and urgent disease with a potentially poor prognosis depending on the size of the lesion. Mortality is high in the first hours of the disease. The severity of the disease depends on the size of the compromised vessel, the rate of occlusion occurring, the localization of the necrosis, and the state of the myocardium. Irreversible change in the myocardium occurs after 20-40 minutes from the onset of coronary occlusion. The mortality is high and a large percentage are exiting due to chamber fibrillation. The aim of the paper is to show the number of hospitalized patients in the coronary unit at the Clinical Hospital of Bitola for 2017 and the medical staff involved in the treatment of these patients.Yayın Multidisciplinary approach in the treatment of patients with acute myocardial infarction(Maltepe Üniversitesi, 2018) Omerova, Arlinda; Jovanovska, Tanja; Çakıl, Yaprak Dönmez; Öztopcu, Aslı; Öztürk, Şenay; Özünal, Zeynep GüneşAcute myocardial infarction is the most severe form of coronary disease and indicates acute irreversible damage to the myocardium due to: acute reduction or stopping of blood flow through a coronary artery thereby reducing the perfusion (blood supply) of the myocardium: a sudden increase in myocardial demand for oxygen.
