Özet
Fen bilgisi derslerinde öğrencilerin fen kavramlarını yeterince öğrenemedikleri kavram karmaşası yaşadıkları ve kavramlarla günlük hayattaki örnekler arasında bağlantı kurmada güçlük çektikleri gözlenmektedir. Bu amaçIa son yıllarda fen öğretiminde farklı yöntem ve teknikler kullanıImaya başlanıImıştır. Bunlardan birisi de fen öğretiminde gittikçe önemi artan model kullanma ile öğretimdir. Modelle öğretim soyut bilgileri somut hale getirip öğrencinin kavramları öğrenmesine ve kavramlar arasında anlamlı bağlar kurmasına yardımcı olur. Bu araştırmanın amacı ilköğretim sekizinci sınıflarda "İş enerji ve basit makineler" konusunda model kullanmanın başarıya olan etkisini incelemektir. Araştırmanın evrenini Kocaeli ilinin Uzunçiftlik ilçesindeki Rabak İlköğretim okulunun tüm sekizinci sınıfları örneklemini ise aynı okulun 8/B sınıfındaki 40 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma bulguları bilgisayar ortamında SPCC/PC paket programı kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda model kullanarak yapılan öğretimin başarıyı arttırmada anlamlı bir rol oynadığı gözlenmiştir.
All educators are abserved that the students can not learn the science topics efficiently and they have diffuculties in understanding the science lectures. Because of this reason the different methods and techniques are used in science teaching in those years. One of these is "teaching with models" which has increasing importance. That brings the knowledge to the concrete knowledge. So it helps the students in order to learn the topics and the relationships between the topics. The aim of this investigation is to study the effects of "teaching with models" in the unit of "Work-Energi and Simple Machines" for eight levels of primary school. The universe of this investigation is the eight levels of Rabak Primary School in Uzunçiftlik, Kocaeli. The sample of this study is 25 students in 8B class of the same school. The results of this investigation is avaluated in SPSS/PC program by using computer. It is concluded that teaching with models increases the sucsess of the students.
