Bu teknolojiye olan ilginin artışındaki öncelikli sebeplerden biri, nesnelerin hızlı ve sürekli bir şekilde tanımlanmasına olanak sağlamasıdır. Tipik bir RFID sistemi, okuyucu ve elektronik etiket olmak üzere iki temel bileşenden oluşur. RFID’yi mevcut teknolojilerden ayıran en önemli özellik ise temassız çalışmasıdır. Bu tez kapsamında RFID teknolojisi incelenmiş ve örnek bir uygulama olarak “Anlık Personel Takip Sistemi” geliştirilmiştir. Bu sistemle personelin giriş-çıkış saatlerinin ve anlık konum bilgilerinin takibi yapılarak, gizliliğin ve güvenliğin önemli olduğu noktalarda izinsiz girişlerin denetlenmesi ve izlenmesi sağlanarak güvenliğin arttırılması, günlük personel mevcut listesi alınarak kuruluşların personel takibinin yapılması hedeflenmektedir. Tez 2010 yılında yapılmıştır ve 69 sayfadan oluşmaktadır.RFID, “Radio Frequency Identification”, is one of the developing identification systems that became popular recently. What makes RFID stand different from the other present technologies is that is contactless. In the scope of his thesis, RFID technology has been analyzed and “Real-Time Personnel Monitoring System” has been implemented as the prototype system.
