Bu çalışmanın amacı; antrepoların dış ticaret işlemleri üzerindeki etkilerinin hız ve maliyet ekseninde değerlendirilmesi, Yetkilendirilmiş Gümrük Müşavirliği olgusunun bu sürece dâhil edilmesi ile katkıları ve eksiklikleri çerçevesinde değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Öncelikle; dış ticarette bakanlıkça verilen yetki çerçevesinde iş takibi yapan gümrük müşavirliği sistemi meri mevzuata göre tanıtılmış ve yetkilendirilmiş gümrük müşavirliği mesleğinin görev tanımı yapılarak gümrük müşavirliğinden farkları ve işlevi ortaya konulmuştur. Bu meslek kolunun ortaya çıkışı, antrepo süreçleri üzerindeki rolü ve işlevselliği konusunda değerlendirme ve önerilerde bulunulmuştur. Yetkilendirilmiş Gümrük Müşavirliği mesleğinin güvenli ve sistemli bir hale getirilmesi, bakanlıkça belirtildiği şekilde bağımsız ve tarafsız çalışması, antrepo ve antrepo rejiminin uygulandığı gümrük işlemlerinin doğru, güvenli ve hızlı gerçekleştirilmesi, daha etkin ve daha güçlü bir gümrük kamu hizmetinin tesis edilmesi, antrepolarda gerçekleşecek gümrük kaçakçılığının önüne geçilmesi ve tüm işlemlerinin resmi olarak sistemsel kayıt alınması gibi faydalar gözlenmekte ve beklenmektedir.
