Wittgenstein, birinci döneminde, dilin ve düşüncenin dünyayı resmettiğini öne sürmüştür. Doğruluk ve anlam, resim teorisi bağlamında ortaya çıkmaktadır. İkinci döneminde bu düşüncesini terk ederek, pragmatik bir yaklaşım benimsemiş ve dilin sosyal boyutuna yönelmiştir. Bu makalenin temel amacı, Wittgenstein’ın birinci dönemindeki resim teorisi ve anlamla ilgili düşüncelerini ortaya koymak ve bu düşüncelerin barındırdığı sorunlar üzerinde durmaktır. Bu bağlamda, filozofun, birinci dönem düşüncelerini geliştirdiği Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus eseri çerçevesinde dil, doğruluk ve anlamla ilgili görüşleri detaylı olarak incelenerek bu görüşlerin içerdiği sorunlar ortaya konulacak ve bu sorunlara yönelik olası çözüm önerileri tartışılacaktır.Wittgenstein’s thoughts on language, truth and meaning are analyzed in two periods. In the first period, Wittgenstein argues that language pictures external reality in the mind. Truth and meaning shows up in the context of the picture theory. In the second period, he abandons this view by adopting a more pragmatic approach and focuses on the social dimension of language. This article aims to lay out Wittgenstein’s thoughts on picture theory and meaning and its problems in his early period.
