The country’s geographical and strategic position is the main factor that plays an important role on a country’s logistics sector. For this reason, countries such as Turkey, has the potential to become an important logistics center, due to its advantageous position in trade between different countries and regions. Logistics sector also plays an important role in economic development and employment creation in Turkey. According to the TUIK’s data, the number of people employed in the logistics sector which is associated with transportation, communication and storage services, has increased recently in Turkey.
