Study Design: The study was a nonrandomized, prospective study conducted on 70 simple snorers. Efficacy of the operations was subjectively evaluated by the bed partners and after 6 weeks of the last treatment. Tolerance was evaluated by the patient during first 10 postoperative days. Postoperative pain and discomfort level were assessed. Results: Satisfaction in terms of snoring severity was reported by 87.5% of the cases with RF and by 76.7% of the patients with IS. Discomfort levels also were similar for both groups. Conclusions: Controlled-temperature RF and IS were both effective on snoring and well tolerated by the patients.
