Relay selection scheme with optimum threshold value is an effective method to decrease the error propagations that occur at the relays due to detection errors. In order to decrease performance degradation due to error propagations in DF based cooperative relaying networks and increase the error performance of the system, virtual noise (VN), MRC and cooperative-MRC (C-MRC) based detection techniques with the optimal threshold value based relay selection are considered. Functions of optimum threshold value for the considered techniques are derived theoretically. © 2015 IEEE.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessCooperative Diversitycooperative maximum ratio combiningdecode and forwardmaximum ratio combiningNakagami-m fadingrelay selectionvirtual noiseSNR-based relay selection scheme for cooperative relay networksConference Object453448
