Airport optimization depends on complex, intelligent, and autonomous ICT systems on a daily basis. On this track, one of the additional advantages of the ICT system is that it can respond better and faster to traffic irregularities such as flight delays, breakdowns, weather conditions or some other disturbances. The aim of this paper is to determine how the advantages provided by multi-agent systems as integral parts of ICT systems can be better used through various simulations related directly and indirectly to operations at airports. Specifically, the work through the conducted simulations at individual airports investigates whether there is additional space for optimizing airports using ICT systems that would provide passengers and airlines with better information at airports. The results of the simulations showed that there is room for progress in better functioning of airports through better information of passengers, allocation of exits to a particular flight, improvement of ground services and better cooperation with airlines. We believe that more efficient application of ICT systems can be performed by adequate optimization of airports with a focus on the realistically required amounts of resources.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessInformation and Communication TechnologiesSimulationAirportOptimizationICT simulations in airport performance optimization optimizationConference Object1919
