Massive human rights violations as a result of 30 years of armed conflict occurred in Aceh. Efforts to bring transitional justice to society were realized by the establishment of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Aceh (KKR Aceh) based on the Helsinki MoU between Indonesia and Aceh on 15 August 2005. However, the resolution of cases of gross human rights violations in Aceh has yet to find a bright spot. Victims of past violence are still living amid poverty and seeking impunity. The impact of prolonged war and the 2005 Tsunami had an impact on the physical and human development process in Aceh. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to illustrate how much the process of change towards peace has been successful in Aceh after the conflict. The author uses qualitative research methods with a focus on case studies of the Aceh conflict to produce a comprehensive collection of data, processes, and activities.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessAcehPeacebuildingPost-ConflictTransitional JusticeResolution of human rights violations in efforts to build peace in ACEHConference Object1717
