Materyal ve Metod: 38 rinoplasti hastası iki gruba ayrılmış, 19 hastada postoperatif makyaj kullanılarak kamuflaj yapılmış, 19 hasta kontrol grubu olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular: Her iki grup hastaya postoperatif dönemde STA? (Durumluk kaygı envanteri) testi uygulanıp alınan sonuçlar değerlendirildiğinde makyajın bu operasyonlardan sonra hastalar üzerine olumlu etkileri olduğu gösterilmiştir. Yazıda ayrıca kullanılan makyaj malzemelerinin özellikleri de anlatılmıştır. Sonuç: Yüzdeki estetik cerrahi operasyonlardan sonra makyaj, hastaların psikolojik açıdan kendilerini daha iyi hissetmelerini sağlamaktadır.Purpose: In the preliminary study carried out in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Clinic of the Dr. Lütfi Kırdar Kartal Education and Research Hospital, the psychological effects of the camouflage of the undesirable problems like echymoses and edema afte aesthetic surgery, with the use of make up have been researched. Materials and Methods: For this purpose, a total of 38 rhinoplasty patients were divided into 2 groups, where 19 patients were camouflaged with make up postoperatively, and the other 19 were considered control group. Results: Positve effects of the make up on th patients after these operations have been demonstrated when the results of the STA? test, which is applied postoperatively to both of groups, are taken into account. The properties of the various kinds of make up preparations used were also described in the article.
