Bleeding, septal hematoma, infection, abscess formation, synechiae, and septal perforation can be seen as postoperative complications. Nasal packs that are made of various materials are used in order to prevent a portion of these complications. Some of these packs lead to pain and discomfort as a result of foreign body sensation.
