Space is a vacuum, that is why there can be no voice or sound cause molecules are not close enough to make sound, However we cannot say that space is empty. Gas, dust and other flying objects float around "emptier" areas oI the universe, while more crowded regions can host planets, stars and galaxies. From the earth the view of outer space occurs about 100 kilometers above the earth and there is no light and air.
