Bu yazıda Polis Meslek Yüksekokulu öğrencilerinde Hepatit B ve Hepatit C seroprevalansının araştırılması ve diğer bölgelerde yapılan araştırma sonuçları ile karşılaştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Metod: Yozgat ilinde İnfeksiyon Hastalıkları ve Klinik Mikrobiyoloji polikliniğine başvuran 533 öğrencinin serumlarında HBsAg ve anti-HCV “Chemiluminescent microparticle immunoassay” (CMIA) ile çalışıldı. Bulgular: Toplam 533 öğrencinin 36'sı (%6.75) kız, 497'si (%93.24) erkek, yaş ortalamaları 20.38 yıl idi. 5 (%0.93) öğrencide HBsAg pozitif olarak saptandı. Hiçbir öğrencide anti-HCV pozitifliği saptanmadı. Sonuç: Çalışmamızda Hepatit B seroprevalansının ülkemiz ortalamasına göre ve önceki yıllarda benzer popülasyonlarda yapılan diğer çalışmalara göre daha düşük olduğu görülmüştür.Aim: Transmission of Hepatitis B and C from person- to-person is known to be more in collective living places. To research the seroprevalance of Hepatitis B and C in police vocational high school students and compare the results with other studies was aimed in this study. Method: HBsAg and anti-HCV tests were examined with “Chemiluminescent microparticle immunoassay” (CMIA) in the serums of students admitted to outpatient clinic of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology in Yozgat region. Results: Total 36 (6.75%) of the 533 students were female and 497 (93.24%) were male and the mean age was 20.38 years. HBsAg was positive in 5 (0.93%) students. anti-HCV positivity was not detected in any student.
