dc.description.abstractThe rapidly developing world has influenced generations from different angles and shaped their characters. The speed of natural transition between generations has accelerated today and at the same time it has caused lots of problems in adapting to generations each other. As Charles Darwin said “It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is most adaptable to change.” Therefore, in terms of continuity and efficiency of companies, it is essential to detect problems of Y generation who is entered business life in the near future, and solving them influentially. The X and Y generations, which constitutes the majority of the business population, have difficulty understanding each other. As a consequence, managers of the X generation have problems managing and keeping the Y generation in the company. Gen Y's personal passion, adaptability, expectations from work, dreams, and heavy use of technology fall them apart from other generations. Considering these problems, the semis-structured interview has been made with the plant Manager of Essity Turkey Hygiene in Kartepe to discover the solution of these problems in specific to a company. As a result, it is observed in the interview that the difficulty of management can be solved, by accepting the change, to prepare himself and his management team, and as well as the by giving this new generation the right to speak and make them feel really valuable and investing in them by new providing opportunities. In addition, the responses volunteer participant Y generation supply planner's show that the solution methods applied by the factory manager are effective and that they have started to create organizational commitment that is not actually present in the Y generation and solve the problems by minimizing them.en_US
