Green Business studies in civil aviation industry

Abstract

The interest in environmental issues around the world has increased due to the increase in global warming and the expansion of the openness in the ozone layer after the increase in greenhouse gas emissions caused by developed countries. Within this scope, efforts to prevent climate change and its damages on a global scale, The Kyoto Protocol (Kyoto Protocol), which came into force in 2005 under the leadership of the United Nations and with the participation of developed countries, is taken as the basis. Turkey, the European Union harmonization process within the framework of the environment and so on. makes its own arrangements based on EU norms. Tourism, which is the locomotive sector of the Turkish economy, and its integral part, are in a position to be extremely sensitive about the environment in air transportation. In the study, the civil aviation and environmental studies, are described by giving examples from the world and Turkey. Based on this, in relation to the Green Airport Project and the Green Enterprise certificate, it is aimed to contribute to those who are interested in the subject by providing explanations based on what needs to be done.

Dünya genelinde çevre konularına olan ilgi, küresel ısınmanın artması ve özellikle gelişmiş ülkelerin neden olduğu sera gazı salınımlarındaki artış sonrasında ozon tabakasında meydana gelen açıklığın genişlemesi nedenleriyle artmıştır. Bu kapsamda küresel boyutta iklim değişikliği ve zararlarının engellenmesi çalışmaları, Birleşmiş Milletler Teşkilatının öncülüğünde ve gelişmiş ülkelerin katılımıyla 2005 yılında yürürlüğe giren Kyoto Protokolü (Kyoto Protocol) temel alınmaktadır. Türkiye, Avrupa Birliği uyum süreci çerçevesinde çevre vb. konularda AB normlarını esas alarak kendi düzenlemelerini yapmaktadır. Türk ekonomisinin lokomotif sektörü olan Turizm ve ayrılmaz parçası olan hava taşımacılığı çevre konusunda son derece hassas olunması gereken bir konumda yer almaktadırlar. Çalışmada, sivil havacılık ve çevre konusunda yapılan çalışmalar, Dünyadan ve Türkiye’den örnekler verilerek anlatılmaktadır. Buradan yola çıkarak, Yeşil Havaalanı Projesi ve Yeşil Kuruluş sertifikasıyla ilgili olarak, yapılması gerekenler temelinde açıklamalar getirilerek konuyla ilgilenenlere katkı sağlamak amaçlanmaktadır.
