Cultural defense: the challenge of a globalized world

Pluralism, globalization and immigration are the transnational phenomenon of the 21st Century. lt hasn't been any other time in the history of the world, where the mobility between countries has been more intense than nowadays. Wars, economy, hand in hand with necessity and desperation of the global population had shaken the world and turned it into the most mixed and diverse social reality. The countries are a real Tower of Babel: many languages, different people, cultural variety and different conceptions of right and wrong, ln this context is criminal law which must deal with the main issues of this phenomenon, because criminal law represents the harder consequences for individuals, and it is this discipline which estabishes the moral and legal conceptions of society. The criminalization of foreigners and the lack of anthropological and inclusive view of the law system may lead to a result of injustice and discrimination of cultural minorities, because criminal law has and has had usually an extreme ethnocentric perspectave.
