There are different sources of knowledge and training in the educational area. It is important to know the factors that motivate or demotivate students to participate in additional activities that can be crucial for the personal development and the complete educational system. Aim: The aim of this paper is to research the factors that hinder students to invest additionally in their knowledge and experience. Ideas and alternatives for eliminating the obstacles for additional education of the students will flow from the obtained data. Methods: In order to obtain objective and relevant information, a survey has been created and carried out and 100 students who are studying health sciences have been asked about the opinions, obstacles, experience and planning additional education. Results: 64.6% of the respondents are not informed about the possibility for improving their knowledge; 81% have never participated in any kind of educational activity; 46% believe that the main reason for this is lack of information; 21,3% name financial problems as a reason; 84% believe that an office for external relations and cooperation shall be opened at the faculty; 92% would like to improve their knowledge in the future; 73% want to join an organization for educational activities. Conclusion: In accordance with the obtained results, students have a desire to improve their knowledge and consider it helpful and beneficial in achieving their professional ambitions. A tendency for poor use and lack of information for the existing possibilities for additional education and mobility is noticed as well. Ideas and proposed measures for improvement of information and participation of students in additional educational activities have flown from the results: • Finding ways to inform students • Greater support from the academic staff of the faculty • Developing academic staff’s skills for activating the enthusiasm of each student • Sharing experiences through reports/ presentations from the fellow students who have already participated in some kind of educational activity • More financial means awarded by the faculty • Opening an office for international cooperation and relations at the faculty • Initiative for organizing home educational activities • Base – computer software of all information and experiences about educational activities and mobilityYayın Migration and health services / resources planning(Maltepe Üniversitesi, 2016) Filipov, Riste; Filov, IzabelaEmigration is voluntary or forced moving from one country to other for different reasons (political, economic, security).
