    Analysis of "suicide" attempts in the southwest region of the Republic of Macedonia

    The aim of our research was to acquire information and to analyze the suicide attempts in the Ohrid region. The analysis has been conducted with these parameters: sex, age, nalionality, location, reasons for the attempt, number of recidivists and if they are registered in the police beside in the hospitals. Other important aim was to use the obtained results as an incentive for conducting different, advanced, educational, adequate and specialized programs with psychological aspect for the medical students and medical officers for preventing suicides on the field using different psychological techniques and methods.

    Mentoring system in psychiatric nursing practice

    ln the past decades in Macedonia there were substantial reforms in the psychiatric sector with significant results in the process of deinstitutionalisation, mentoring system of innovation that was introduced in Macedonia in psychiatric nursing in order to improve patient care. One of the municipal changes as part of that process was the introduction of a system of mentoring work of psychiatric nurses, which means acquiring competence over a certain small group of patients who are institutionally treated as individuals with, daily, targeted and direct communication with them. This system works by a one nurse take care of needs for the five patients. Their work is based on more attention to patients, help with their physiological need, hygiene, clothing, communication wath the patient, to express their problems, establishing contact with their families to improve their situation and acceptance of disease continues to easier handling it...

    Emigration is voluntary or forced moving from one country to other for different reasons (political, economic, security). The health protection for the refugees is regulated by the provisions form the law on asylum and temporary protection by which primary health protection is provided. An insight into the condition on health protection level and also resources for improving the acceptance conditions and acceptance centers. A base for creating appropriate measures for education and increasing the health culture and selt-protection of the emigrants. A base for preparing special, educational and advanced programs for the medical staff for working with emigrants.
