Yayın QR codes: a new digital marketing way(Maltepe Üniversitesi, 2016) Hochart, ZoeEveryday, a lot of new marketing tools are created to attract more consumers but one of these is particularly interesting because it regroups printed media and digital media: QR codes. OR Codes are similar to the standard bar codes that currently appear on all types of consumer products, but they can contain much more information than traditional barcodes. For marketers, QR codes allow advertisements. brochures, posters (even clothing or billboards) to direct users to mobile landing pages. Those pages contain more information than one could put on a billboard and the fact that consumer can interact on these pages, makes it even more interesting. Advertisments via QR codes are therefore less expensive for the marketing strategists. This integration between print and web via mobile adds a new dimension of communication to any marketing or outreach effort. The aim of this presentation is to put accross how QR code works, how it's used by marketers in advertising campaigns, and why it represents a new marketing way in the advertising industry. This paper will explain the several uses of QR codes and their advantages and some examples in a few countries.
