    Econometric analysis of factors that influence migration processes (on the example of Ukraine)

    Geopolitical transformation determines all aspects of society’s life, in particular migration processes, which reveals the relevance of the problem of analyzing the factors that influence these processes. The paper presents the results of a research of the factors of migration processes in Ukraine with the help of developed econometric models. Based on computed models, factors that have the greatest impact on migration processes in the country are identified. The main economic and social factors of labor migration growth in Ukraine are determined. It is established that today Ukrainians are actively moving to the near abroad and developed countries of the European Union. Because of this there is a significant outflow of labor force, including highly skilled employees, which leads to loss of labor, intellectual and scientific potential of the country. The recommendations for managing the factors that affect on the level of labor migration increase are substantiated. In order to ensure the complexity of the econometric analysis of factors influencing migration processes, additive models of time series of the corresponding indicators are developed. The structure of seasonal oscillations is investigated by means of calculation of seasonal component by the method of moving average. The forecast for the number of arrivals and departures for the four quarters of 2019 is calculated. The conclusions about migration processes on the territory of Ukraine are substantiated, and ways of overcoming the growth trend are proposed.
