Current state of youth unemployment in the Republic of Bulgaria

This article presents the problem of youth unemployment in the Republic of Bulgaria – a problem that is becoming more and more important and turns in to a fundamental issue for the whole society. The article reviews the following topics: Key factors for the emergence of youth unemployment, it’s current state in the Republic of Bulgaria, national policies that address the problem, as well as the authorities conducting them. When clarifying the problem, the following documents are used: The Employment Promotion Act and The National Strategy for Poverty Reduction and Promotion of Social Inclusion 2020. The main objective of the article is to clarify the current state of youth unemployment and to present the effective policies to reduce it.
