Yayın Seroepidemiology of hepatitis viruses, measles, mumps, rubella and varicella among healthcare workers and students: Should we screen before vaccination?(ELSEVIER SCIENCE LONDON, 2020) Karadeniz, Asli; Alasehir, Elcin AkdumanBackground: Health care workers (HCWs) and students are at increased risk for blood borne infections and vaccine preventable diseases (VPDs). The aim of this study was to determine the seroprevalence of antibodies against measles, rubella, mumps, varicella zoster virus (VZV), hepatitis A and B viruses among HCWs and students and to determine whether there are differences according to gender and age group. Methods: Information about characteristics of the 1053 participants, history of disease and vaccination status were collected using a structured questionnaire. Serum samples were tested for antibodies by commercial immunoenzymatic assays. Results: Seropositivity rates were 57.1% for measles, 74% for mumps, 96.3% for rubella, 93.7% for VZV, 33.9% for hepatitis A virus and 92.2% for hepatitis B virus. Susceptibility rates among participants 18-26, 27-38 and >38 years of age were statistically significant for measles (46%, 18.6% and 0%; p < 0.001) and mumps (27.1%, 12.9% and 21.4%; p < 0.05), respectively. Conclusion: Low seropositivity rates for measles, mumps and HAV are important findings. For other diseases other than VZV, it is thought that vaccination without pre-screening is more appropriate. Healthcare institutions should have policies for screening and vaccination of their staff and students. (C) 2020 The Authors. Findings have also confirmed that degrowth is one solution in response to the concept of overtourism.Yayın Parenting Styles in Accordance with the Values of Mothers and Grandmothers(MEDIMOND S R L, 2010) Gulcin, Karadeniz; Zukauskiene, RParenting styles are reflected onto their children's individual characteristics and their behaviour patterns. It is thought that such behaviours and in particular behaviours of a mother who has been with the child longer plays an essential role in developing the structure of the ego beginning from the childhood. Through mother, he tries to comprehend the world surrounding him. Her behaviour towards him affects his whole life. The mother plays an important role in formation the main values. Values are individuals' beliefs about their ideal behaviour styles or about their life purpose as well as multi directional standards that guides behaviours in variety ways. Mothers convey the values to kids by telling them what to say and what not to say and what to believe and what not to believe. In today's unstable conditions, what constitutes the subject of this research is how young mothers who show different child rearing/raising behaviour stick to the values they took from their mothers. In the research, 144 grandmothers and their 144 daughters who had been mothers were interviewed within Istanbul. In order to determine the socio-demographic variables, the developed survey/questionnaire, Parental Attitude Research Instrument and Rokeach Value Survey were applied to the participant parents by the surveyor. The obtained data were analysed and evaluated by using SPSS 17 statistic program on computer.Yayın THE MUSEUM OF ME: A VISUAL PRESENTATION OF YOUR ONLINE SOCIAL LIFE ON FACEBOOK(MEDIMOND S R L, 2012) Ekim, Berna; Kucukerdogan, R; Zeybek, I; Yengin, DIn recent years, with the growing popularity of social media - a new form of online interaction and communication service - has emerged. The aim is to help users create their own content, keep in touch with other people, share knowledge and information and express their own opinions. There has been a growing interest in developing various applications for social network users to contact with other social network users virtually and to create a visual archive in the digital era. Especially, Facebook - the pre-dominant social network nowadays - has been very successful in developing a great variety of applications where the users are able to extend their connections and exchange more information under the additional application categories like business, politics, education, social activities, entertainment, medical etc. This paper aims to provide a visual and an eclectic analysis of the "The Museum of Me" application, which is developed as an entertainment application by Intel Corporation for Facebook. This application is a virtual tour for everyone who wishes to create, visit and share a digitally created personal exhibition in a museum and/or an art gallery on Facebook. The exhibits are composed of the visuals recollecting the transactions of the user's online social life created by way of gathering visual data based on the most recent and visited applications, profiles, viewed photographs, videos and such. Examples and demonstrations of the aforesaid application will be presented on how and due to which parameters the relevant visuals are chosen and how the user interface of the application is designed.Yayın Xanthogranulomatous cystitis: a challenging imitator of bladder cancer(SPRINGER, 2009) Ekici, S.; Ekici, Dogan A., I; Midi, A.; Eroglu, A.; Ruacan, S.…Yayın Dynamic Analysis of 3-D Coupled Shear Walls with Changes in Cross-Section Using Continuous Connection Method(TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY LIBEREC, 2011) Turkozer, C. D.; Emsen, E.; Aksogan, O.; Segla, S; Tuma, J; Petrikova, I; Pesek, L; Zapomel, J; Kruisova, A; Gendelman, O; Berezovski, AThe paper considers the general dynamic analysis of a non-planar non-symmetrical coupled shear wall, resting on a rigid foundation. The analysis considers coupled shear walls with changes in cross-section, the properties of which vary from region to region along the height. In this study, Continuous Connection Method (CCM) and Vlasov's theory of thin-walled beams are employed to find the stiffness matrix. The structure mass matrix is found with the lumped mass idealization. An asymmetrical example has been solved and compared with the frame method and a perfect match has been observed.Yayın Primary mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma of the urinary bladder(SPRINGER, 2007) Midi, Ahmet; Comunoglu, Cem; Ekici, Sinan; Erogiu, Alper; Peker, Onder…Yayın Modeling the p-delta behavior of single friction pile in compacted fine-grained soils(CRC PRESS-TAYLOR & FRANCIS GROUP, 2014) Kutlu, Z. N. Taylan; Vanapalli, S. K.; Han, Z.; Khalili, N; Russell, AR; Khoshghalb, AIn this paper, the contribution of the matric suction towards the shaft bearing capacity of a single pile loaded in a compacted fine-grained soil (i.e. Indian Head till) is investigated based on the load-displacement (i.e. p-delta) relationships derived from both model pile tests and Finite Element Analyses (FEA). The FEA are undertaken using the commercial software SIGMA/W. A modulus of elasticity model and a modified Mohr-Coulomb yield surface function that consider the contribution of the matric suction are jointly used in the FEA to formulate an elastic-perfectly plastic constitutive model. There is a reasonable agreement between the p-d relationships modeled from the FEA and measured from model pile tests. Both measured and modeled results suggest that there is a significant contribution of the matric suction towards the shaft bearing capacity of single piles in compacted fine-grained soils.Yayın USE OF ELTROMBOPAG IN IMMUNE THROMBOCYTOPENIA IN TURKEY(PERGAMON-ELSEVIER SCIENCE LTD, 2016) Cekdemir, D.; Ozdemirkiran, F.; Guvenc, S.; Eser, A.; Ozkocaman, V.; Sahin, H. The proposed circuit employs a single MCBTA and four passive components including two grounded capacitors. The circuit provides completely de-coupled condition of oscillation (CO) of the frequency of oscillation (FO), i.e. no term in the CO is present in the FO and vice versa. Both the CO and FO are independently tunable by two different grounded resistors. The FO is also tunable by means of the transconductance and thereby is electronically tunable. SPICE simulation results have confirmed the workability of the proposed circuit.Yayın Second Malignancies in Childhood Cancer Survivors(WILEY-BLACKWELL, 2016) Kebudi, R.; Gorgun, O.; Ayan, I.; Agaoglu, F.
