Özet
Background: The COVID-19 pandemic , which is characterized by severe acute respiratory syndrome 2 (SARS-CoV-2), constitutes perhaps the most egregious challenge that humanity has to face.Unfortunetly, the draconian measures that we are obliged to follow,for our protection, has engendered several issues in terms of economy, human health and life. So,as every problem has its own solution, the undeniable knowledge of the scientific community internationally, have created vaccines against the coronavirus, in order to cope with this stict global pandemic. Objective: To understand how the two well-known vaccines against the coronavirus work (pfizer/moderna) and how the human body responds to each and one. In addition, to formulate practice recommendations to the medical and nursing staff, regarding the psychological diffictulties of patients. Design and method: Firstly, the review briefly clarifies the process of natural and injectable immunity of the human body and what is the functionality of COVID-19 in biological and medical terms. After this basic report, it refers to pfizer and moderna vaccines against the coronavirus in technological and fuctional analysis.And finally, it discusses and suggests effective methods, which can be utilized by the nursing and medical community,specifically, to treat people, who have psychological issues due to the pandemic. Data sources: Our research took place with a usefull help of the bibliography databases of PubMed, Scopus, Science Direct and CINAHL. Nevertheless, we didn’t leave out our own books of biology,microbioly and physiology for information around the human immunology. Of course, our main research platforms was Google and Google academic for the scientific articles and related fegures. Results: Notably, 9 web scientific articles related to biology and microbiology around the vaccine and physiology of the human immune system. Furthermore, 3 book chapters of the academic book with title ‘Nursing in Mental Health’ by Eby Brown and also we absorbed information from medical books which can be found in the IHU’s library. Conclusion: The facts, about coronavirus' cases, that news broadcast in a daily basis, are undisputably horrifying.It is worth mentioning the fact that a vaccine which is going to be utilized in many parts of the world and concerns the health of billions of people should be tested multiple times in purpose to guarantee its effectiveness,although nowdays are characterized by technological rise.The core of the problem is that most of people do not trust science just because they cannot understand it. So, our presentation could be an effective solution to informate people,in order to reassure them..All in all, it is very important for people to put in priority theirs’ and their fellow mens’ health by observing the hygiene rules and get informed about the new vaccines.
