Özet
Introduction: As a student, I will use this opportunity to reveal the information which I have researched on the topic sleep efficiency and related disorders between students who are in home with their parents and students who are in hostel during this isolation period. Description: In this covid-19 pandemic, due to high risk of infection, high working load, inadequate protection from contamination, frustration and isolation, lack of contact with family makes students to undergo stress and anxiety which causes insomnia which leads to lot of disorders like heart attack, blood pressure, depression, worry, burnout and more. Lets see some surveys done by my team showing the changes in sleep between students. We have separated students into two groups. Group A - students at home and Group B - students in hostel. Group A - we did a research and raised questions with 50 students who live in home,In that survey nearly 79% of them had a slight difference in sleep efficiency after returning to home from hostel, as day passes by it became normal and have no issues in sleeping and had no anxiety. In remaining 20% of students 10% of them have issues with sleep efficiency because of some reasons like habit of sleeping late, Family issues, not maintaining a good diet, also about the pandemic situation. Due to these reason they are undergoing though lots of depression, anxiety, changes in BP etc,. And the remaining 11% of them had no issues from the first day after returning to home. Group B - As before we raised same questions to some students who are in hostel. In this survey nearly 85% of them had lots of changes in their sleeping efficiency.Students have problems in being alone, thinking about their family whether they are safe from this pandemic, financial issues, lots of works to be done by theirselves which lead to depression, insomnia, nightmares, changes in BP, anxiety, weight lose, fatigue, exhaustion. In remaining 15% of them 10% had a slight variation at first after the beginning of this pandemic and getting used to it as day passes by. And the remaining 5% of them had no changes because they really enjoyed to be alone in hostel. Conclusion: We conclude that the pandemic which is present now affects 80% of people’s sleeping efficiency and causes various disorders as we have seen in above survey. Changing some habits and lifestyle will prevent this. STAY HOME STAY SAFE.
