dc.description.abstractİlkelerinin ve öğretilerinin birçoğu bugün hala referans gösterilmesine rağmen, tıbbın babası olan Hipokrat’ın yaşamış olduğu dönemden bu yana uzun bir zaman geçmiştir. Ayrıca, “geleneksel” tıp son yıllarda geri dönüş sergilemeye başlamıştır. Yine de, tıbbın 21. yüzyılda kayda değer bir ilerleme kaydettiği aşikardır. Eski zamanlarda, ilaçlar, bulgular üzerine bulunmazdı, daha çok “tıp-insan” arasındaki kişisel deneyimler etrafında gelişim gösterirdi. dc.description.abstractAlong time has passed since the days of Hippocrates - the father of medicine, although many of his principles and teachings are still referenced today. Also, “traditional” medicine has made a comeback in recent years. Yet it is clear that medicine has advanced remarkably in the 21st Century. In ancient times, medicine was not founded on evidence but evolved around personal experiences of “medicine-men”. Physicians could also be mathematicians, philosophers and were generally involved in theology too. It is only since advances in technology have brought with them new discoveries regarding the physio-pathology of the human body that science and scientific culture has entered medicineen_US
