Özet
Eğitim çevrelerinde sık sık duyduğumuz bir söz, eğitimin “öğrenci merkezli" olması gerektiğidir. İnsan eğitiminin amacı göz önünde bulundurularak anlaşıldığında ve bu amaca ulaştırma umudunu veren yollar izlendiğinde çok önemli olan bu talep, bugün bunun adına yapılanlara bakılırsa, bunların çoğu zaman öğrenci popülizmine götürdüğünü, dolayısıyla getiriliş amacına ters düşebilen sonuçlara yol açtığını görüyoruz.
A statement that we often hear in educational circles is that education should be “student-centered." This demand is significant when it is understood by considering the purpose of human education and following the paths that give hope to achieve this goal. However, if we consider the contemporary practices implemented for its sake, we see that they lead to student populism, and lead to results that may be contrary to its original purpose.
