Most of the e-commerce companies are using microservices rather than monolithic architecture. Using microservices gives the ability of scalability and better fault tolerance. On the other hand, using microservices has some challenges, one of them is that communication between microservices must be efficient and robust. In this work, we focused on this challenge, analyzed the performance of communication techniques, and identified their advantages and disadvantages. We compared synchronous REST architecture and asynchronous event driven architecture.en_US
