Abstract
The term light is used to express the electromagnetic ray, which represents a narrow part of the entire electromagnetic spectrum, which is the part that the human eye can perceive and propagate in a wave motion ranging from 4000 angstroms, which gives us the sense of violet color up to light radiation with a wavelength of 7600 angstroms. The void remains forgotten without light, and the lighting has several different sources. The reflections of lighting on the different surfaces that define the void, such as the floor, walls and ceiling, are what make us perceive the void, its form and composition make us and feel it, as it plays an effective role in showing the architectural void. Artificial lighting highlights in terms of industrial lighting, the components of the space well, and this results in the interference of light with shadows, which gives multiple contrasts that highlight and define things, and the correct lighting highlights the contrasts in the textures of the exhibits. Brief about the research: In this research, we will know light and lighting in terms of their characteristics, sources, the direction of rays, and methods of optical design.
