Review of effective factors on women's empowerment: case study (Herat City - Afghanistan)

Empowerment is a process in which women realize their inner needs and desires, Dare to reinforce the goal on their own and reveal the capabilities necessary to fulfill their desires. The purpose of this research is to review effective factors for women's empowerment. The theoretical framework of this research is the theory of women's empowerment that has been influenced by feminist theories, especially the theory of liberal feminists. This research has been done by an analytical statistic method about 520 women, between 20 to 50 years old in Herat province of Afghanistan. The findings of this study suggest that factors of such as, increased education, access to financial resources, improved health, removal of the prejudice in the labor market and the removal of traditional factors are the most common factors that affect women's empowerment.
