dc.description.abstractYirminci yüzyılın sonlarına doğru yaşanan yönetim stratejilerindeki değişim ve ekonomik krizler havacılık sektörünü de etkisi altına almıştır. Bu ortamda havacılık işletmeleri rekabet güçlerini ve kar oranlarını arttırabilmek için yeni iş modellerini hayata geçirmek zorunda kalmışlardır. Bu kapsamda ortaya çıkan düşük maliyetli havayolu taşımacılığın temelinde yatan fikir, güvenli uçuş için gereken sabit maliyetler dışında kalan uçuş, hizmet ve yolculara yönelik diğer hizmet maliyetlerinin yeniden düzenlenmesidir. Bu sayede özellikle 2000’li yıllar itibari ile yaşanan ekonomik krizler sonrası artan petrol fiyatları ve uçuş maliyetlerinin azaltılarak havacılık sektöründe azalan yolcu taleplerinin tekrar arttırılması amaçlanmıştır. Türkiye’de son dönemde hızlı bir gelişme gösteren düşük maliyetli havayolu taşımacılığı küresel çapta daha uzun süredir uygulanan bir yönetim stratejisidir. Bu kapsamda nitel yönteme dayalı tarama modeline göre tasarlanan betimsel çalışmada; düşük maliyetli havayolu taşımacılığının dünyada ve Türkiye’de ortaya çıkış nedenleri, gelişim süreci ve mevcut uygulamalarına yer verilmiştir. Çalışmada ayrıca düşük maliyetli havayolu taşımacılığı dünya ve Türkiye’deki süreç ve uygulamaları karşılaştırılmıştır. Son olarak düşük maliyetli havayolu taşımacılığının geleceğine yönelik önerilere yer verilmiştir.en_US
dc.description.abstractTowards the end of the twentieth century, the change in management strategies and economic crisis affected the aviation industry as well, and aviation companies had to implement new business models to increase their competitiveness and profit rates. The underlying idea of low-cost airline transportation which emerged at the end of twentieth century is the reorganization of the flight and service costs except fixed costs required for safe flight. In this way, it is aimed to increase the passenger demand in the aviation sector again by reducing the oil prices and flight costs, which have increased after the economic crises, especially as of the 2000s. Low-cost airline transportation, which is rapidly developing in Turkey, is a globally longer segmented management strategy. In this context, in our descriptive study designed according to the screening model based on qualitative management; the development process and current practices of low-cost airline transportation in Turkey and in the world, are given. Also, the processes and practices of low-cost airline transportation in the world and in Turkey are compared. Finally, suggestions for the future of low-cost airline transportation are given.en_US
