Yayın Right to refugees(Maltepe Üniversitesi, 2016) Abedalqader Kdaisat, Rehayl TayseerNowadays, l am working at UNHCR as a Senior Protection Assistant. So l chose this topic because of the practical experience l acquired regarding the matter, and also my Master's thesis about Jordan and the diplomacy of Humanitarian Relief Efforts (2011- 2015) strengthened my theoretical knowledge in this field. As an introduction, l am going to talk about the development of the refugee's connotation through history, from multiple practitioners and none-governmental organizations (NGOs). Also, it is mandatory to mention, the objectives and mandates of NGOs regarding the refugees, how to act with them. The kind of assistance and services that NGOs are providing. and what kind of projects can be implemented to the refugees. Moreover, there is one point that we have to mention regarding the durable solutions for refugees in order to seek the safeguard rights and well-being of refugees. ln addition to discussing the 1951 Convention relating to the Status of Refugees. l will also discuss deeply, protection concerns, rights and regulations of refugees and the legal framework of dealing with them in the Country of Asylum (COA). lt is essential to mention the difference between specific terms that are used in any crisis, wars, conflicts, or natural disasters in order to differentiate between displaced people, returnees, resettled, and refugees. Diplomatic and official resources claim that Jordan is expected to become the center for relief efforts in the area. Recently, Jordan utilized humanitarian relief efforts in its diplomacy effectively. Jordan developed its reputation as a peaceful country that respects the human rights and lnternational agreements by providing the safe haven for hundreds of thousands of war refugees despite its limited resources and economic difficulties. Lastly, as a Jordanian student representing Jordan in this conference, it wiIl be a great opportunity to talk about Syrian refugees hosted by Jordan and to show how Jordanian citizens and Syrian refugees are adapting socially and culturally.
