Yayın Personal branding for young professionals(Maltepe Üniversitesi, 2016) Aidarbekova, SabinaAll of us young professionals, at least once think about creating our own brand. lf your initial aim is not the promotion of the giants such as Apple or lBM, but the promotion of personal qualities or specializations, then personal branding comes to the stage. Personal branding is the process of creating a recognizable professional name and reputation for yourself or for your company/business. lt should include the following steps: 1) Understand your "strength" and position yourself as a brand. This includes web-searching (googling) of your name, analyzang the image that is presented and being able to create a positive image. 2) Online presence: Choose at least two but maximum 3 platforms (facebook, pinterest, linkedin, twitter etc.) for representation of your brand. Updates on your platforms should follow at least twice, maximum 5 times per week. 3) Showing your involvement/excitement in your brand. 4) Working on your brand's content/ developing as a professional To conclude, one should not confuse Personal branding with social media addiction. Personal branding is a business which requires a time investment and solid planning. An elaborate and well-timed personal branding can lead to a better job, more sales or better reputation of your business.
