    English is the major language of international communication. Teaching and learning English as an international language provides an accessible overview of this increasingly important field. ln the field of foreign language learning and the growing need for learner autonomy, technological innovation has long been recognized as one of the key factors that determine second language achievement and attainment. Present-day technology holds the promise and potential for offering ways in which teachers can help students to improve their oral and listening skills and to sustain the long and usually laborious journey of acquiring a foreign language.
