ln times of increasing use of social media, lines between different forms of political, participation become blurry. While research nowadays mainly focuses on forms of political participation online the question rises, if there is a dilference between the diverse activities concerning their impact for the society as well as the political process and the motivations to carry them out. Some of these forms are merged under the terms lacktivism, a simple way of participation, mainly performed via social network sites and without high risk nor high costs for the users.
