    The importance of multi disciplinary approach in the care of cancer patient

    Cancer is a disease which is getting more frequently seen each day and affect the patient and their families during the process of diagnosis and treatment therefore, have an adverse impact on the society. People who have cancer need medical, social and psychological treatment and rehabilitation. It is important to work with a multidisciplinary team understanding in such a way as to be at the center of the patient in this process and support the patient and the family with a holistic approach. In the multidisciplinary team, there is doctor, nurse, psychologist, dietician, pharmacist, physiotherapist, social worker, religious commissary. As the members of the general health team, nurses should fulfill their role and responsibility in accordance with their area of specialization and are required to work within the multidisciplinary team approach in order to manage the affective anal proper care as the specialized nurses in different branches, such as oncology nurses, psychiatric nurses, internal nurses, gynecology nurses. In this review study, it was aimed to emphasize the importance of the multidisciplinary approach in the care of the cancer individual and the role and responsibilities of the nurses involved in this team.
