Yayın Entrepreneurship and women in education sector; perception and challenges(Maltepe Üniversitesi, 2016) Sehr, NidaWomen entrepreneurship is considered important for the progress of a country, while in Pakistan there is very low participation from women side. As a male dominant developing society education sector is considered safer and respectful for women and they represent a higher number at educational sector, thus there is a need to support and promote their efforts by exploring the issues and challenges faced by them. This study is designed to explore the the issues and challenges faced by women entrepreneurs generally and in primary education sector specifically. The objectives of the study are: l) the principal aim of this study was to present a perspective on the gender related challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in primary education sector in Pakistan. 2) to explore the current scenario of women entrepreneurship in Sargodha District. 3) To investigate the possibilities and opportunities of women entrepreneurship primary education level. Women entrepreneurs who are working in education sector in Sargodha city were the population of the study. The study is qualitative in nature; therefore interview protocol was developed to get the insight of the women entrepreneurs. Phenomenological thematic analysis technique used to derive the meaning out of data and it was found that women are facing dynamic and diverse chalIenges and it is quite difficult for them to survive in the field. Most of the women were not happy with the situation and were not intended to extend their entrepreneurship in education sector. Therefore, it is suggested that society should develop norms and ethics to support women entrepreneurship in Pakistan.
