20th century had been the age of innovations. Thousands of years of experience and theory of art have been offered to the service of humanity through the opportunities offered by the age. There have been developments in the field of theater. Theater artists have developed new methods for the stage by examining the background of the past theater. In terms of performing arts, these methods have been explored all over the world. For this reason, acting methods have continued to develop with the efforts of the artists who are always looking for better in terms of the development of the theater. The basis of the research; in terms of the Stanislavski system, Konstantin Stanislavski, a contemporary pioneer and a pioneer in the field of acting, who explores a method of acting as a Stanislavski System, is being examined. In this direction, the methods he developed about the art of theater are being investigated. The Stanislavski system was formed during the Stalin period in Russia. In this tense atmosphere, Stanislavski was welcomed by his method he had developed in his own country and continued his work without a break. This method, which is as much psychological as it is physical as it is in search of what is real on the stage, has started to be applied with interest by the artists of the period in Russian geography. In an effort to search for the real one on the stage; this method, which has psychological infrastructure as well as physical, has started to be implemented with interest by artists of the period in Russia. Stanislavski has brought a new dimension to the stage work and has taken his system forward in laboratory environment. The revolutionary Stanislavski system, in terms of the acting methods of the period, has attracted the attention of western artists. Stanislavski wanted to share his theoretical and practical works outside of Russia because of his approach to explaining people to people with the art of theater. Many of the artists from the west have taken the example of their own system, and they have begun to develop their own methods on the basis of this system. The American Stella Adler became acquainted with the system by Stanislavski and later taught the methods he had developed on this basis in his acting school. Peter Brook and Eric Morris's acting methods from the United States, which experience other contemporary methods, constitute the other research and comparison section of the thesis. Sonia Moore, Lee Strasberg Meyerhold, Grotowski and Brecht's stage approaches have been included in my assessment, considering the limitations of specific approaches throughout the thesis. In this research, I aim to provide an objective approach to each method in terms of research results and to contribute to the people of Science and art in the fields of art and academia, while examining Stanislavski-based methods and Stanislavski system with specific readings and analysis.
