| dc.description.abstract | ln today's world, knowledge is increasingly changing and growing to be more specialized. Therefore, the real achievement lies in using informationto solve complex problems; communicating, innovating and sharing through the help of information and communication technology. The Knowledge Society by definition is an association where data are used and applied in various fields for developping a lifelong learning. This society is recognized to be reliable on the knowledge of its citizens, Hence, it represents the climax of development For human society, Like any other essential issue. this type of societies has its own features since it is a term of central concern. First of all, its population should attain a higher education and have access to information, communication technology and lnternet, Moreover, it seems to be well prearranged and Follows skilled systems and organizational strategies to be repeatedly innovative. As one of the characteristics, the knowledge society has to integrate all its members: what stresses the need tor an accepted diversity to promote new forms of solidarity for both present and future generations. Furthermore, pluralism is one important issue that should be emphasized. Undoubtedly, dealing with this topic has made me eager to know the necessity of information and communication technology. As a result, I collected some viewpoints through a questionnaire Fulfilled by third year. LMD English students. lndeed, 91% stated that with the enhancement of lCT, they have become able to easily communicate and collaborate with english native and non-native speakers. Besides. this application is helping them a lot to deal with the new 'Competency Based Approach' since it provides them with wealthy resources to become active learners and create their own knowledge. The methodology followed in the present abstract involves two main parts: theoretical and practical, The theoretical part deals with the definition of the knowledge society as well as its incredibly numerous Features; while. the practical one, highlights the importance of lnformation and communication technology tor LMD students. | en_US |
