Özet
Education and teaching are profoundly affected by word frequency. Many researchers studied the frequencies of words and their differences, The first attempt to extend the study of word-frequency was started by Marinellie and Johnson. According to them it was stated that there is a difference in the progress of development for high and low frequency words. ln addition to this the attention of many researchers was drawn on the difficulties of recalling and recognizing word frequency. With the intention to establish the effects of word frequency researchers investigated peoples' conscious and automatic level of lexical choice. The main goal of the impact of word frequency while creating a room for understanding of peoples conscious and automatic levels of lexical choice. There are several factors that influence the formation of word frequency. As a result of formation of word frequency lexical factors and phonological factors influence the most, These factors bring elfects with themselves. when it comes to lexical decision experiment researchers refer to several factors such as: word-frequency, orthographic neighborhood count, letter count and number of syllables. According to Balota and Chambley the lexical decision can be based on an early familiarity measure. ln conclusion. word frequency is an indicator that a learner might be familiar with the word and its meaning. !y'ord frequency is designed as a result of the factors such as pronunciation, meaningfulness and letter frequency of a word is considered. Word lrequency plays an important role in the second language acquisition for learner that are beyond the basic level of knowledge. However there are only several studies that establish the word frequency on teaching but there is no further explanation on which are the best methodologies for in helping learners for second language acquisition. To expand the knowledge of words. word parts and vocabulary, and also to successfully teach students, this is possible to achieve even if students have limited knowledge of vocabulary, This area of study, certainly has many opportunities and chances for further inquiry and expansion of the theory, Thus. in this study our aim is to show how some words become more frequently used than other words. which are the faclors that influence on this division and how it inlluences on students'second language acquisition. ln doing this, all the gathered results are taken from the colloquial speech of the English language which are being established from educational institutions,
