dc.description.abstractAmaç: Bu çalışma pediatri hemşirelerinin ağrıya ilişkin geleneksel inanç ve uygulamalarını belirlemek amacı ile tanımlayıcı olarak yapılmıştır. Yöntem: Veriler araştırmacılar tarafından literatür doğrultusunda geliştirilen anket formu kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Anket formu sosyodemografik özellikleri ve hemşirelerin Ağrıya İlişkin Geleneksel İnanışlar ve Uygulamalarını tanımlayıcı niteliktedir. Toplam 103 hemşire çalışmaya gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. Veriler sayı ve yüzde olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular: Hemşirelerin %37’sinin kültürümüzde yeri olan nazarın ağrıya neden olduğuna inandıkları ve nazar değmemesi için %54,0’ünün dua okuduğu/okuttuğu, %10,8’inin nazar boncuğu taktığı, %5,4’ünün hem dua okuyup hem de nazar boncuğu taktığı saptanmıştır. Ancak hemşirelerin %29,8’i nazara inanmalarına karşın herhangi bir uygulamada bulunmadıklarını ifade etmişlerdir. Sonuç: Sonuç olarak, araştırmaya katılan hemşirelerin çocuk hastada ağrıya yaklaşım konusunda çeşitli kültürel tutum ve inançları olduğu saptanmış, ancak bu tutum ve inançlarının profesyonel mesleki tutumlarını etkilemediği bulunmuştur.en_US
dc.description.abstractObjectives: This study was conducted to determine the traditional beliefs and practices of pediatric nurses about pain. Methods: The study data were collected using a questionnaire form designed by the researchers in light of literature. The questionnaire is a definitive form including information about sociodemographic characteristics and traditional beliefs and practices of nurses about pain. Total 103 nurses agreed to participate in the research. The analysis of the research data was carried out with numeric and percentage distribution. Results: We asked to nurses ıf evil eyes cause the pain. It was revealed that 37% of the nurses in the study believe that the evil eye is the cause of pain. A further inquiry into the practices of “averting the evil eye” illustrated that 35.1% of the believers pray, 18.9% get religious people to pray for them, 5.4% of them get people pray for them and wear blue beads to avert the evil eye, and finally 10.8% only wear a blue bead. On the contrary, 29.8% of the nurses who believe in the evil eye do nothing to protect themselves Conclusion: In conclusion, it was found that although nurses personally adopt a variety of cultural beliefs and attitudes about pain, their individual beliefs and attitudes aren’t reflected onto their professional practices, especially in relieving pain in pediatric clinics.en_US
