dc.description.abstractThe main objective of the study is to identify the relations between marital adjustment, life satisfaction and coping with stress. The second objective is to investigate the similarities and differences between family groups' marital adjustment, life satisfaction and ways of coping. A total of 323 married people from different family life stages from Istanbul, Turkey were investigated and they completed Dyadic Adjustment Scale, Ways of Coping Questionnaire, and The Satisfaction with Life Scale. Results showed that the marital adjustment and coping strategies were significantly related to life satisfaction. Results also found significant differences between family groups in their marital adjustment.en_US
