dc.description.abstractBu çalışma sürdürülebilirlik kavramı çerçevesinde yüzen evleri ve yüzen şehirleri ele almaktadır. Öncelikli olarak sürdürülebilirlik kavramının ve su üstü yaşam alanlarında sürdürülebilirlik kriterlerinin araştırıldığı bu çalışmada, bir kısmı uygulanmış ve bir kısmı tasarım sürecinde olan, örnek çalışmalar incelenmiştir. Örnek çalışmalardan bazıları The Float ve Wikkleboat gibi yüzen evler ve Tianjin City ve Oceanix City gibi yüzen şehirlerden oluşmaktadır. Malzeme kullanımı, yenilenebilir enerji, atık yönetimi, sualtı habitatının korunması, gıda kaynaklarının yönetimi, ulaşımın kurgulanması ve yeşil çatı gibi kriterlerin belirleyici olduğu çalışmada seçilen örnek projeler değerlendirilmiş ve karşılaştırmalı tablolar sunulmuştur. Sonuç bölümünde, su üstünde yaşamın sunduğu avantajlar ve henüz üstesinden gelinemeyen sorunlara değinilmiş ardından Türkiye özelinde potansiyelleri sorgulanmıştır.
dc.description.abstractThis study deals with floating houses and floating cities within the framework of the concept of sustainability. In this study, where the concept of sustainability and sustainability criteria in above-water habitats were primarily investigated, sample studies, some of which were implemented and some of which were in the design process, were examined. Some of the case studies include floating houses such as The Float and Wikkleboat, and floating cities such as Tianjin City and Oceanix City. In the study, where criteria such as material use, renewable energy, waste management, protection of underwater habitat, management of food resources, transportation planning and green roof are decisive, selected sample projects were evaluated and comparative tables were presented. In the conclusion, the advantages of life above water and the problems that have not yet been overcome are mentioned, and then their potential in Turkey is questioned.
