| dc.description.abstract | There are different perceptions of what it is to be an artist, many of which have appeared only in the twentieth century. Today students of art find themselves between innumerable' isms', technology, immense possibilities for self-expression and a variety of institutions that promote their art production, but what is the reality of the support enhanced by these institutions? On the one hand we have the young student of art shielded under the premises of educational institutions such as Universities and Academies of Art, creating freely in a utopian environment of understanding and praise. On the othter hand are those, exposed to the reality of the Art World and the Art Market.
