dc.description.abstractThe aim of this paper is to think about at how global processes affect the local perceptions and representations of space. The base for the analysis will be fieldwork conducted in Gyumri, Armenia during a l0-months voluntary service in a local organisation, using the method of visual anthropology. Through establishment of a Photography Club and regular assignments on topics related to the city l wanted to give the local youth a way to express themselves but also take a close Iook at how and why they show certain things and maybe hide others.en_US
dc.description.abstractBu çalışmanın amacı küresel süreçlerin mekan temsillerini ve yerel algıları nasıl etkilediği üzerine düşünmektir. Analiz, görsel antropoloji yöntemini kullanarak Ermenistan - Gyumri'de yerel bir organizasyonda 10 ay boyunca gönüllü hizmette bulunularak uygulanan alan çalışmasına dayanmaktadır. Bir fotoğraf kulübü kuruluşu ve şehirle ilgili konular hakkında muntazam görevler yoluyla mahalli gençliğe kendilerini ifade etmeleri için bir imkan sunmak ve ayrıca nasıl ve neden belirli şeyleri gösterdiklerine ve belki de diğerlerini gizlediklerine yakından bakmak istedim.en_US
