The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of creative drama education on early literacy skills of children attending kindergarten. Since this study is an experimental study, the research was carried out in a school, considering the pandemic conditions. While choosing the study group, it was decided to conduct research in Akşemsettin Kindergarten in order for the experimental and control groups to have similar socialcultural characteristics, to be in the same institution from both groups, and to be in a single institution instead of very different institutions under pandemic conditions, in order to be regular in terms of continuity. The children selected as the sample were formed from the morning groups of the same school, and the experimental group from the control noon groups. 15 children from 5-6 age groups attending school formed the experimental group and 15 children formed the control group. In the study, an early literacy skill program prepared with the 10-week creative drama method was applied to the children in the experimental group after the pre-test. The children in the control group continued their education within the scope of the preschool curriculum after the pre-tests were applied. EROT, which was prepared with the creative drama method, was applied as a post-test after the early literacy education. It was concluded that the creative drama method had a positive effect on early literacy skills.
