Özet
Bu araştırmada İstanbul Maltepe'deki üniversite ve lise öğrencilerinin internet bağımlılığı ve narsistik eğilimleri arasında istatistiksel olarak bir ilişki bulunup bulunmadığının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerden sosyal medya kullanımı biçimlerini öğrenmek için hazırlanmış Bilgi Formu, Narsistik Kişilik Envanteri (NKE) ve İnternet Bağımlılık Ölçeği (İBÖ) uygulanmıştır. Sonuçlara göre öğrencilerin internet bağımlılığı düzeylerinin cinsiyete, sosyal medya hesaplarını güncelleme sıklığına, kontrol sıklığına, en fazla kullanılan sosyal medya platformuna, Facebook, Twitter ve Instagram hesabı olup olmama durumuna, güncelleme sıklığına, olduğundan daha iyi görünen paylaşımda bulunma durumuna göre; farklılaştığı tespit edilmiştir. Öğrencilerin internet bağımlık düzeyleri arttıkça narsistik eğilimlerinin sömürücülük boyutunda azalma, otorite boyutunda artma gözlenmektedir.
In this study, it was aimed to investigate the relationship between narcissistic personality traits and young people's social media usage. The Informatin Form, the Narcissistic Personality Inventory and Internet Addiction Scale were implemented to learn the forms of social media usage from students participating in the search. According to the research results, students internet addiction levels have been determined to be different in according to the gender, update and check frequency, the most used social media platform, whether have Facebook, Twitter, Instagram account, to the presence of sharing that looks narcissistic tendencies have been determined to be different in according to the gender, update and check frequency, the most used social media platform, whether have Facebook, Twitter, Instagram account, follower number, to the presence of sharing looks better than now, aim of use, school type. As the internet addiction levels of students increase, the narcissistic tendencies decrease in the exploitative dimension and the increase in the authority dimension is observed.
