Rethinking the role of international institutions: competitiveness and keynesian policies in the Greek-Euro crisis

The purpose of this paper is to provide an evaluation of the economic and financial policies of the lnternational Organizations (lOs) dealing with the Greek-Euro crisis. While until recently supply-side and austerity policies in the European periphery seemed to dominate economists' and policymakers' agenda, crisis persistence led to the acknowledgement of flawed approaches by the lnternationaI Monetary Fund, something which seems to be causing significant policy changes.

Bu makalenin amacı, Yunan Euro kriziyIe ilgilenen Uluslararası Örgütlerin ekonomik ve mali politikaları hakkında bir değerlendirme yapmaktır. Son döneme kadar Avrupa çevresinde arz ve kemer sıkma politikaları ekonomistlerin ve siyaset yapıcıların gündemini meşgul ederken krizin devam etmesi, uluslararası Para Fonu tarafından kusurlu yaklaşımlarının kabuI edilmesine yol açmıştır. Bu durum önemli politika değişikIiklerine neden olacak gibi görünmektedir.
