dc.description.abstractBu araştırmada, zihinsel engelli çocuğu olan anne ve babaların psikolojik belirtileri, sosyal destek algıları ve stresle başa çıkma tarzları bakımından karşılaştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Bu araştırmanın örneklemini, İstanbul ili Anadolu yakası sınırları içerisinde bulunan özel eğitim kurumlarına devam eden ve birincil tanısı “eğitilebilir düzeyde zihinsel engelli” olan 7-12 yaş grubunda 105 çocuğun anne babası oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada, zihinsel engelli çocuğu olan anne babaların psikolojik belirtilerini ölçmek amacıyla Kısa Semptom Envanteri (KSE), stresle başa çıkma tarzlarını belirlemek amacıyla Stresle Başa Çıkma Tutumları Envanteri (SBTE) ve sosyal desteği belirlemek amacıyla Çok Boyutlu Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeği (ÇBASDÖ) uygulanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde SPSS paket programı kullanılmış, analizlerde ise Pearson Korelasyon Analizi, bağımsız örneklemler için T –Testi (Independent Samples T-Test) ve Tek Yönlü Varyans Analizi kullanılmıştır(One way ANOVA). Araştırma sonuçlarına göre zihinsel engelli çocuğu olan anne babaların genel psikolojik belirti düzeyleri, stresle başa çıkma tarzları ve algıladıkları sosyal destek ile demografik özellikleri arasında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı ilişkiler olduğu tespit edilmiştir, anne ve babaların KSE, SBTE ve ÇBASDÖ’den aldıkları puanların yaş, eğitim düzeyi, sosyo-ekonomik düzey, aile genişliği gibi sosyodemografik özelliklere göre değişkenlik gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir. en_US
dc.description.abstractIn this research, it was aimed to compare the mothers and the fathers who has mentally handicapped children in respect with their psychological symptoms, perceived social support and ways of coping with stress. The sample of this research consisted of the mothers and fathers of 105 children between the ages of 7-12, attending to special education institutions within the boundaries of Istanbul and had a primary diagnosis of “mentally handicapped on a trainable level”. In this research, Brief Symtom Scale (BSI) was administered for the purpose of identifying the psychological symptoms of the mothers and fathers who have mentally handicapped children. For the purpose of identifying their ways of coping with stress Coping with Stress Behavior Questionnaire (CSBQ) and for identifying their perceived social support Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) , were administered. SPSS has been used for the analysis of the data collected. For the analysis, Pearson correlation analysis, Independent Samples T-Test and One way ANOVA has been used. According to the findings of the research, statistically meaningful relationships have been found between the socio-demographic characteristics of mothers and fathers who has mentally handicapped children and their psychological symptoms, perceived social support and ways of coping with stress. It was found that, the BSI, CSBQ and MSPSS scores of mothers and fathers differs according to the socio-demographic characteristics such as age, education level and the number of the members of the family.en_US
